the semester starts now.
currently listening to: Some Funny Song [Some Funny Band]

music express 14 is over.
and i am now relieved.

despite the turn-out rate, i thought we ran the last lap fantabulously.
it was only at the final juncture when i realised how much attachment i have for these committee members of mine, and how much we have been complementing one another throughout the journey.

in short, teamwork was great.

i'm still feeling a little paiseh at my show of authoritarianism during the grand finals. the scenes go something like this:

xinyi: where are the emcees? what time liao!?
xinyi: control room! backdrop for XXX! *nothing happens* CONTROL ROOM! WHERE IS MY BACKDROP!
xinyi: aiknam! i need contestant XXX to be on standby now!
xinyi: argh! my walkie no batt liao!
xinyi: mingli mingli, standby results video!
xinyi: jinjingjinjingjinjingjinjing! *no answer* URGHHHHHH!
xinyi: tingfeng! get ready stage for next song! how come so long? kuai dian!
xinyi: ARE THE JUDGES ON STANDBY? I CAN'T SEE THEM! I NEED THEM ON STANDBY NOW!
xinyi: emcees coming out emcees coming out! spotlight spotlight!
xinyi: oh my god. why they didn't cue recap video!?
xinyi: WJH standby liao not? CHANGE SONGS??? WHY CHANGE SONGS!?!?!
xinyi: where are the results? i cannot wait! hurry up and pass to mingli!!

er. yeah. so you can tell.
but everyone was really great about it.
prolly in the heat of the moment, no one had time to complain. haha.

but still i should take it easy next time (if there's a 'next time').
prolly didn't help ease contestants' nerves when they see me uptight like that.

and i take my hats off to the emcees.
i totally witnessed their ad-lib power that day.
they are not emcees for nothing sia, totally talents.
and i'm a lil' embarrassed about shoving them around to be on standby. *blushes*

and also the Chi Soc people- helped us a great deal.
esepcially HwanXing(?), totally my right-hand man backstage.
couldn't have done it without his help.

thank you people, for the experience.
it was really great working with you guys.

and also my beloved dearest sweetest kindest friends.
johnson from ticketing couldn't believe i sold 9 tix. hahaha.
although i'm still short of 6, i'm really grateful.
it's support all the way from the east leh! just for me!
so touched.... sob sob.

julliana, michelle, jiepi, judy, alrina, huichun, lynette, qiqian, kenneth.
they skipped the olympic closing...
like lynette said: my face bigger than china!!! *bwahahaaha*

i love my friends.
*heart*heart*

oh and i wanna recommend a song: Ni De Zi You by Lv YingZhi.
my personal fav from the competition even though it didn't win anything.
it's stuck in my head.

okay now i finally have time for school proper.
shall start by making up for 3 week's worth of content.

so in a few hours *SIGH* i'm going to have to *SIGH* return to the monotonous drone of *SIGH* everyday school life *BIG SIGH* in ntu.

and at 6pm tomorrow *SIGH* i'm going to have to *SIGH* battle it out *SIGH* with the entire student population *SIGH* for courses *SIGH* through the STARS system. *DROPS DEAD*

pardon the sighs.

i've been repeating lines like "drop 230 and add 257." and "quickly grab 206 and in case i can't get it add HS815 first." over and over that it's like some mysterious chant that's stuck in my head.

oh wells. the pains of the student.
it's just the tip of the iceberg anyways.

mmm.. at least i had a good holiday.
