did i ever tell you how much i love this song?

i just cannot turn it off!!! it's like eating potato chips and finding yourself reaching out for another and another and another~~~

syaoran-kun wa kawaii~!!! *screams*

yeah, i noe i'm an oriental freak. but he's so cute~!

ahh.. ok, while i'm listening to my favourite song, i shall go about writing my blog entry. *embarrassed*

hmm... besides the depressing fact that i AM going to ACJC for the first 3 months, and the even more depressing fact that i have only one week left to the dreaded day, everything's quite fine these few days actually.

speaking of ACJC, i made the trip and.. yeah, it's 1 hour and 15 minutes for the total journey to ACJC's doorstep, and another 1 hour 15 minutes for the journey back home. that includes taking the bus to the interchange and taking the MRT to Buona Vista then walking to ACJC itself, and excluding the waiting time.

i guess i can live with it for 3 months, just that i'm really not sure how i'm gonna go about making friends there. *sobx* i can just imagine day 1, where i sit in a corner and watch the other students talking among themselves and staring at me occasionally and pointing at my bright-and-striking-and-ridiculous-and-alien-like turquoise-coloured uniform...

with stripes.

someone save me!!!*bawls*

making friends seemed easier in secondary school. now i seem to have lost the hang of it. and ACJC?? erm... you know what they all say...

haiz...

ok. i shall stop the complaints.

christmas?? oh, merry 2nd day of christmas by the way!! my christmas this year was a different start for once, considering the fact that we haven't celebrated christmas for the past 5 years due to my grandfather's condition back then. so actually we forgot where we kept the christmas tree.

yeah. and the decorations too.

so we bought a new one, which is conveniently smaller in size and has a very nice glow when it is switched on. *lovely* and we bought presents for each other this year too. bought them all within 3 days. and did i tell u the tree was bought on 24th dec? yeah, at the eleventh hour. we were desperate. *whahaha*

the bad thing about this christmas was... we all know what our gifts were even before christmas. AND, i had to wrap up all the gifts, INCLUDING MINE, and write all the christmas cards, INCLUDING MINE, and place them all under the christmas tree myself.

so it was like, hmm..

"xinyi,
merry christmas!
love, mother"
-- written by xinyi

*sobx*

i guess someone had to make sacrifices. but at least i got some decent gifts this year. mp3 player and a pair of earphones! *wahhaha* so it wasn't that bad. and the food was decent too.*drools*

so that was how we spent christmas. and we sang "we wish you a merry christmas" when we cut the logcake too. *whahaah* by the way, does anybody know why it has to be a LOGCAKE for christmas?? why can't it be any other cake??

i am starting to prepare myself for the new year too. new specs and everything. gonna get a new file and pencil case tml too. printing out pictures for my file right now. *wahhahaha* now if i can just get my hair cut somewhere... my hair is starting to look like a clump of bushes except that it is black.

so it is a clump of black bushes. yep.

hmm.. i think i gotta turn in early tonite. my mother's got an operation tml and i'm suppose to stay in the hospital with her so i guess i won't be blogging for the next few days. it's my grandfather's death anniversary tml too so we gotta wake up early to visit him.

did i tell you how much i love this song sung by li syaoran of cardcaptor sakura?

back from taiwan, taipei!

ahh... the place is.. quite boring.. apart from the anime goodies they have there, everything's really rather bland and.. *ahem*ahem*, EXPENSIVE.

no. no w-inds. stuff. i can't find any!! i thought taiwan suppose to be the place that has all of them!! where did they all go??? *despair*

but there's this really cool shop there, ANIMATE, that has such a huge selection of anime goodies. I WANNA OWN THAT SHOP!!! sadly, the things there are a 'little' bit more expensive... so i couldn't spend my money as freely as i could in my dreams... so sad...

the moment i stepped in there and saw the series that majority of the anime goodies belonged to, i thought to myself: this is judy's shop. yep, you guessed it. yaoi and hentai stuff everywhere~ *vomits*

so this means that there is really very little anime goodies i can buy since i only know so few of them there. *curses* call myself an anime fan. i mean, i know the series but i don't watch them. series like prince of tennis, saint beast, saiyuki, gundam seed (yes, all of them judy's favourites. why am i so unlucky??? why no my series???)... god, now i regret not watching. not because of the series itself!! but because their anime goodies are SOOOO cute!!~ but i can't buy. -_-"

still!! i managed to spent over S$70 there. *whahahaha* let me stress again that i'm very happy with this shop in taiwan and...

I WANNA OWN THE SHOP!!!

there are other shops too. let me tell you this crazy deal i got at this crazy shop that calls itself "crazy comic house"... anime soundtracks all at S$9. all of the soundtracks of popular animes! fullmetal alchemist, rurouni kenshin, weiss kreuz, .hack//, inuyasha, naruto... nothing can describe the kinda joy that i felt when i saw the number "$180" printed on the price tag, and i was desperately thinking to myself: does this shop owner know wat she's doing? maybe she thinks nobody will wanna buy them but waaaaaaaaaaay is she wrong. *whahaha* but very unfortunately... that shop was the last shop for the day and i only had around $1000 left with me, which is about S$50. so i could only buy 5 cds, all vocals.

still!! i am very happy with the shop!! despite the fact that i was soooo engrossed with choosing the cds and under the constant hurrying of my family members, i forgot to buy this really cute fushigi yuugi cup from the shop. *tears*

as u can guess, all my money was spent on anime and manga stuff. i think i made my parents broke. hehe.. *guilty*

so that is really the main highlights of the trip. went to yangming mountain, wulai waterfalls, shopping at shin kong mitsukoshi-s and other departmental stores and streets, some kinda place that sells anime dvds at super extraordinary expensive prices... the wulai trip wasn't that bad. in fact i enjoyed it. after taking the cable car up the mountain and climbing dunno-how-many-goddamn steps, we reached a pond where there is this vending machine that is shaped like a fish and sells FISHFOOD.

my brother was so fascinated by it that we bought 4 packets and spent the rest of our time running around the pond and feeding fishes in the pond. we were trying to throw the food to the smaller fishes, who apparently are being bullied by the larger fishes when it comes to snatching food, hence the running about. then we ran out of coins and my father threw the sweet potato he bought earlier to the fishes. -_-". wonder if the fishes will be dead by the next day. *pictures floating fishes in pond*. but it was rather funny, really. nice trip.

that is about it. told you it was a bland place. couldn't buy too much cuz the things were so very expensive. i still managed to be the one who bought the most things during this trip though. *whahaah*

oh, and i am posted to ACJC wor!

*curses*

i did try to appeal for TJC, submitted the form and everything but still, i couldn't get into TJC. *sobx* too bad... i guess i'm not fated to be a TJC student.

i didn't really wanna appeal when i received my results but i didn't wanna make a rash decision and miss a chance of getting in TJC (MY DREAM JC~). ok, i admit it was i was freaked out when they asked me to write an essay on "WHY TJC?" as part of the appeal. word limit 250-400. (*xinyi thinks: siao ding-dong..*curses**). but i didn't really wanna get into TJC through appeals cuz i always felt that appeals are like last ditch attempts to desperately get something that you are not fated to get. to me, it's kinda like an insult to my pride. i mean, even if i did get into TJC through an appeal, i can't feel myself and be confident and everything cuz nothing denies the fact that i only got in through an appeal and i really didn't make the mark yet i shamelessly squeezed myself into it.

ok, maybe i'm extreme. but that's really how i think. my point of view, objective from anyone else's. and yes, i'm a fate believer. *whahaha*

but still, i couldn't decide cuz i didn't want the same thing to happen to me every single time in a situation like this. appeal or not appeal.

yes, that's the problem.

so i called my pal, tingxu!, who also wanted to appeal to TJC. so we were talking talking talking when my mother, who had previously been the one who suggested for me to go to ACJC, called and said that i'd better appeal for TJC. -_-"

i was feeling so extremely FAKE when i typed the essay "WHY TJC?", praising them for their good points and over-exaggerating my reasons and willingness to get into TJC. but still, i couldn't get in so.. i guess you can consider it both a blessing and misfortune bah. i still felt a little disappointed when i received the news though. can't be helped, i have been aiming TJC for 3 years already!!

so i'm in ACJC for the first 3 months now. maybe it's not that bad, except for the distance. i'm glad it's just the first 3 months so i think there won't be any CCAs that will make me come home at 8pm or 9pm or some ungodly hour. i don't think i'll still be there after 3 months so that's not a cause for worry. why? i think i'll probably go to TPJC or MJC instead. i'm going to flunk my O levels.

speaking of MJC, soooo many of my friends are in MJC! including regina and juliana! i was like so crushed when i heard the news that the 3 of us can't be in the same school again. *sobx* don't leave me behind!!!

but i think i'll probably go MJC after the O levels results are out. hopefully, many of my friends will still go there too. i am praying very very hard.

am i being evil??

currently listening to: HEY JIMMY! [Peacemaker Kurogane]

tadaima!

i have survived more than a week of being away from my computer. NEW RECORD! *rejoices*

didn't really try to go out for the past few days, except seeing my brother off at the Changi Airport and receiving him again when he came back a few days ago (that lucky guy), walking around TM with regina and juliana yet again because they wanted to swim at my house after eating lunch (or was it dinner?), visiting the CIA building the renew the photo on my passport (taken when i was 6 years old and the customs have persuaded me since 2 years ago to change my passport photo but i stubbornly refused), playing pool (the real thing!) with regina and juliana (and ended up hitting the ball out of the table), watching the movie "Polar Express" with my family (we bought some kinda cute mechanism that shines when you switch it on-- the one that's everywhere at Tampines Interchange), travelling to People's Park (yeah that old 'kok-kok' run-down building) to get some kind of foot massager for my Grandma ( the poor machine is overworked everyday in its attempt to massage the feet of every single person in my BIG family everyday), at the same time buying truckloads of food back home to feed the family and to pray to my late Grandpa (that was ALOT of food-- i'm getting fat), and finally buying tingxu's birthday present at Heerens, as well as the PIG CO. member that i'm suppose to give a christmas present to (that was some gift... holes in my poor wallet..).

hmm.. it does look like it's alot of outings. please do not misunderstand, many of them were completed simultaneously within 3-4 days so i actually stayed indoors for some time.

why wasn't it boring when i was staying indoors for the whole day?? ANIME MARATHON!!! *wahahahahaa*

i was amazed by the fact that i could manage quite alot of anime series before i raised the white flag and announce that i cannot continue watching another new series anymore. i thought i could at most complete 2 series, yet i went ahead to complete 5 series!! *still in shock*

if a series consists an average of 24 episodes, this means that i've completed around 120 episodes, where each episode is around 25 minutes, which means that i have sat in front of the telly for 3000 minutes, which is also equivalent to to 50 hours. argh... *backache*backache*

this may not be a good thing though. they say too much anime makes a japanese teenager a nerd. *sobx* buy hey! i'm not japanese! does this mean i'm a singaporean nerd?

already am. *wahahahahaha*

this year's anime marathon included "Scrapped Princess", "Peacemaker Kurogane", "Snow Fairy Sugar", "Weiss Kreuz Gluhen", "Nanaka 6/17"~

Scrapped Princess. a very good anime! i thought that this is the kinda anime that i prefer much more than all those magical girls type (sailormoon excluded). yeah! i like adventure! a little romance! a little sadness! quite alot of action! MAGIC! and a decent storyline (and of course acceptable artwork)! BUT!!! *vomits blood* i thought that DVDs were suppose to be of guaranteed quality.. man, i regret my words. stupid uncle at Sino Complex in Hong Kong sold me a FAULTY DVD AGAIN!!! so i was so excited about what the next episode was going to be about and just as i pushed the forward button of my DVD control with trembling hands... everything went silent.

that was 4 episodes i missed! i was on the verge of tearing out all of my hair (yes, ALL of my hair) when i decided to proceed with the third and last disc. like always, my eyes didn't blink once (even if it did i wouldn't know) as i enjoyed yet another 4 episodes of the series (though i missed a major part of the storyline and had little idea of what was going on). *gasp* the final battle!! i thought to myself. sugoi!!! then i hit the forward button yet again and.... everything went silent.

my eyes widened and i started to stare at the god damned DVD player as it stared back in silence. it was already 2.30am in the morning. i could hear the irritating grasshoppers, the ever so loud snoring of my family members and the sound of running water. EVERYTHING, but the opening song of "Scrapped Princess".

4 episodes!!! final episodes too! ARGH!!! the stupid uncle at the Sino Complex in Hong Kong did it again!!

furiously, i shut off everything and went to bed. i tossed and turned in bed as feelings of anger welled up within me. i got up again, switched everything on, tried and failed again, then went to bed once more. i was silently cursing the Hong Kongers for having poor quality control and even made up my mind to stress utmost importance on quality control if i ever went into the manufacturing sector in the future, when i suddenly recall that i'd seen the "Scrapped Princess" VCD in Comics Connection when i was shopping with Alrina, Judy and Xinwei for Pipi's birthday present the other day and i thought of the $50 note in my wallet, reluctant to give it away to someone else.

i woke up at 10am (this kinda timing is rare for me) the next day and went on my hunt for the VCD. Whitesands was my first stop. excitedly, i rushed up to the Comics Connection and looked for the VCD but... there was only part I (i missed the episodes in part II). then i went to the vcd shop on level 2, they didn't have the vcd but the salesgirl claimed that they had the DVD. patiently, i waited for her to find it. 10 minutes passed, she was still looking for it.

"err.. i think it's ok. i don't have a DVD player at home anyway." a white lie was the only way i could get away from the shop. forgive me.

then i decided to try Tampines! on the way to TM, i checked the vcd store at the interchange. they didn't have it. i went to TM basement. they didn't have it either. *determination wavering* next i went to century square and tried the basement. the stupid shop undergoing renovation. *tears out hair* then finally i went to the Comics Connection there. SCRAPPED PRINCESS PART II!!! i could have screamed like a mad girl then but i am too restrained to do that. *waaahahah* $30?? ahh... i don't care!

so i left for home with the VCD and $20 left for the rest of my holidays. but my quest for the VCD was accomplished! (though it only had English subtitles..)

what is it they say? determination turns iron batons into needles or something. whatever-- you get my point.

*happy*happy* i like Raquel~~

scrapped princess! raquel-ne's the black-haired one in blue!

and "Peacemaker Kurogane" really gave me a shock!! i was actually hesitant when i decided to buy the anime but it proved to be a really fantastic one!! OKITA-SAMA!!!! *swoons*faints* but i know he's gonna die... *sobx*. that's the problem with historical shows. history say you die, you'll die.

OKITA-SAMA~~~!!!!

 okita souji!! my idol~~ ^-^

my brother really likes the anime series, "Nanaka 6/17". honestly, i don't even remember including it into my anime list but somehow it just appeared miraculously. and it's good! i thought that it would be a typical magical girl anime, but i was much more than that! miracles like this should happen more often. this is really one anime that i would recommend. i watched the first episode, apparently doubting the quality of this anime, and barely 15 minutes passed when the word "INTERESTING" appeared in my head. the sypnosis of this anime online? not reliable at all. Nanaka is no magical girl! she's just a normal 17 year old who has no powers or anything. she just idolizes a magical girl in an anime series. funny how they get the idea that she's an magical girl. it's such a funny and interesting anime! i should beware of such undependable reviews in the future. *nods head*

Snow Fairy Sugar is a product of Koge Donbo, who is probably famous for her "Pita-ten" series. the characters in this anime are really cute but somehow it just lacks a strong storyline. but i enjoyed watching the series anyway. and it actually made me cry! *shocked* my favourite is Salt!

Salt's the cute one in yellow~

Weiss Kruez Gluhen? ahh... a real dark and depressing show. i thought it would be like the first season of Weiss Kreuz where there are alot of different missions where the characters gradually develop their individuality, but it disappointed me when the whole anime only revolved around a single mission. the omi-kun looks so... so dots in this anime, and he's not part of Weiss anymore too! *sobx*
spolier: i don't wanna talk about the ending.

oh! and i've seen the full version of the w-inds. "yume no basho he" PV already!! like i always say... IT'S GREAT!!! this time it's really great. the song is very catchy and the PV is very "bright", if you know what i mean.

w-inds. rules!!

and ah~ma? do you have a friendster account or something? i'm trying to write testimonials for my friends recently~~

leaving for taiwan on the 17th!! which means i'm not gonna be able to blog very often already! don't worry! i won't buy souvenirs for everyone!

*wahahahahah*

cute~

i think this was during 'To Where You Are'

to ah~ma: NO!!! i'm not related!!! *paranoid* and tell great-grandma too!!!

one of the outings with most of the pigs

hmm... considering the fact that i won't have my computer until the end of this week, i think i'm taking a break from blogging for a while...

sobx. no comp....

somehow it doesn't seem to have as much an impact on me as it would have been before the holidays. this might be due to the irritating fact that nearly no one bothers to blog DURING the holidays. *glares*

oh and my mother forced me to put ACJC as my 2nd choice!!! sobx.. it's so damn far away (BUONA VISTA, man...) and i don't fancy the idea of having to get up so freaking early in the morning just to get to a school where i know i won't even meet one tenth of my friends there. and i don't like the idea of having to stand in the MRT train for an hour or so EVERYDAY and get squeezed like sardines by increasingly inconsiderate Singaporeans (especially working adults). sobx. i just hope they don't select me... PLEASE DON'T SELECT ME!!! *prays sincerely*

TJC's still the first choice (though i know i have nil chance of getting in there), and the third one is MJC (owing to the fact that my brother is all out to PREVENT me from entering TPJC), and TPJC's fourth (my persistence).

i would prefer MJC than ACJC, though they say that MJC is like an overactive battelfield where they virtually try to fry your brains in and out by giving you work that is supposedly not at your standard at all. i'm getting really irritated with the way MJC's trying to force her way up to the higher ranks of local JCs. i mean, take it one step at a time, man! you're working your students out!!

BUT, i still think it's better than ACJC. not academically-wise or whatever. just because it's NEARER TO MY HOUSE so i don't have to get up SO DAMN EARLY in the morning just to get to ACJC, where i know i won't stand a chance of fitting into the crowd. *wahahaha* this shows how much a value my beauty sleep.

yes, i'm a pig and i love to sleep. *proud*

maybe that's the problem with living in the east. the choice of JCs is so limited that every now and then, you feel an incredible urge to just plonk yourself down into a polytechnic that's located so conveniently near your house (i mean TP). that's what i've been thinking of the past few days, or the past few months, really. but i guess it would take a miracle for my family to agree because i had raised the issue a few months ago, after returning from some kind of career seminar in school, and they shot back at me as if stepping into a polytechnic itself would bring disgrace to the family name! ok, maybe it wasn't that bad and i'm exaggerating, but they did protest violently at me for even having the thought. maybe the only way i can get into a polytechnic would be to get more than 20 points for my 'O' Levels. *touches wood* as much as i'd like to visualise myself in a polytechnic, i will never want to score that kind of marks for the 'O' Levels.

*starts to worry*

i'm having a funny feeling that my results won't be as before. it always happens when i'm sitting for a MAJOR exam like the PSLE or something. sobx. but whatever it is, just at least let me stay within my first few choice of JCs. *prays sincerely*

and i'm going on an anime marathon soon! *wahahha* came back to tropica (where i am now) just to get my DVD player back to my Grandma's place. i wanted to watch 'Spiral' first, but... STUPID SHOP AT SINO COMPLEX sold me the 'Spiral' vcd of INFERIOR QUALITY and it would beat anything anyone can do if the stupid show can keep running without breaking into parts here and there after 7 minutes of entertainment. *tears out hair* look, i'm stessed even when the exams are over. stress just likes me. sobx.

so i have made up my mind to buy just DVDs from Hong Kong in the future, for guaranteed quality. speaking of Hong Kong, a bunch of my friends are in Hong Kong right now already (being HK-ers themselves), and my brother is leaving for Hong Kong TML!! let me make this clear, he is just going to go ALONE with his FRIENDS and walk the streets of Hong Kong by themselves WITHOUT PARENTAL GUIDANCE, and have just so much fun there and i'm envious. *sulks*. when will it ever be MY turn??
